This project has five partners, CNRS (with the University of Strasbourg as third party), INAF, INTA, UEDIN and UHEI. ESA and ESO are "associated partners" of the project.

CNRS - Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (France)

CNRS, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, is the principal funding organisation for fundamental research in natural sciences in France. CNRS/INSU (Institut National des Sciences de l'Univers) coordinates the French participation in the VO through the Specific action Observatoires Virtuels France (ASOV).

CoSADIE is coordinated by the Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg (Strasbourg astronomical Data Centre - CDS), a major actor of the VO development at the international level, and the cornerstone of the national participation in the VO. The CDS, created in 1972, has had a long term experience in curating and distributing value-added information, and its services are widely used by the astronomical community world-wide. CNRS leads CoSADIE WP1 Management and WP5 Strategy, governance and financial sustainability of Euro-VO.

INAF - Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (Italy)

The Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica - INAF promotes, realizes and coordinates, also within programmes of the European Union and international organisms, research activities in many astronomical fields. INAF coordinates a national Virtual Observatory initiative (VObs.it) in collaboration with the Italian Space Agency ASI and several Universities.

INAF leads CoSADIE WP4 Outreach towards education and the general public interested in astronomy and the Liaison activities with the grid and cloud within WP3.

INTA - Instituto Nacional de Technica Aeroespacial (Spain)

INTA (Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial) is a governmental organization for space-based research and technology that represents the Spanish Virtual Observatory in the CoSADIE project.

INTA leads CoSADIE WP2 Increasing awareness and gathering requirements from the user and provider communities, and is in charge of the activities towards the science community (Task 2.1) within this Work Package.

UEDIN - The University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom)

The University of Edinburgh enters the project of behalf of the AstroGrid project, which is a consortium of UK Universities and Public Laboratories which collaborate within the UK to take forward the Virtual Observatory agenda.

UEDIN leads CoSADIE WP3 Coordinating technical activities and defining the technical needs to maintain the VO framework.

UHEI - The Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg (Germany)

The Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg is the oldest University in Germany. The German partner institute is the Zentrum für Astronomie des Universität Heidelberg (ZAH), and within ZAH the Astronomisches Rechen-Institut (ARI) which is the principal investigator institute of the German Astrophysical Observatory GAVO.

UHEI leads the activities towards the data centre community of WP2.
